Location-Based Service Terms
Article 1 (Purpose) These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of BJB luxury (비제이비럭셔리) (the "Company") and users in providing location-based services under Korea's Act on Location Information. The Company's location-based service provider registration number is No. 1493 (Broadcasting Media Communication Office-3632, accepted Sept 2, 2026).
Article 2 (Company's Processing of Personal Location Information): Used to sort marts, restaurants, hospitals and pharmacies, banks and post offices, life services, attractions, lodging, camping sites, amusement parks, and shopping (Daiso and Olive Young) by distance from the user's current location and display them on the map. Location information is collected only while the user is actively using the app (foreground); the Company does not track location in the background when the app is not in use. The mobile apps also do not request background location permission. Location coordinates are processed entirely on the user's own device (browser) for distance-sorting calculations; the coordinate values themselves are never transmitted to or stored on the Company's servers for that feature. However, to prevent distance sorting from abruptly failing in environments where GPS signal is temporarily unavailable (indoors, underground, etc.), the most recently successful coordinate reading is kept only in a temporary storage area on the user's device (session storage). This temporary storage (1) is automatically cleared when the browser session/tab ends, (2) is never transmitted to or stored on the Company's servers under any circumstances, and (3) when using a substitute coordinate, a notice is displayed on screen to inform the user that this is not their real-time location. Across all features, including the AI Assistant, GPS coordinates are processed solely on the user's device and are never transmitted to the Company's servers. The province/city-level region code calculated from GPS cannot identify a specific individual's precise location and therefore does not constitute personal location information; it is used for purposes such as the AI Assistant's weather guidance. This region code is not separately stored and is discarded immediately after the request is processed; it is calculated solely from GPS coordinates on the user's device, and the Company's servers never receive the original coordinates. When loading a distance-sorted list, only up to two nearby area names calculated on the device (province/city, or city/county/district for hospitals and pharmacies) are sent to the server as search conditions; coordinates are never sent. On the map screen, the map moves to the area around your current location only when you tap the "My location" button yourself (it never moves automatically); your browser then requests map images for that area directly from the map provider, NAVER (NAVER Cloud), to display the map. Through this request NAVER can learn your approximate location, which is governed by NAVER's own privacy policy. The Company does not send the coordinates to or store them on its servers in this process.
Article 3 (Designation of Location Information Manager) The Company designates a location information manager to properly manage and protect personal location information and handle user complaints: Bae Ho-ik (CEO, BJB luxury), email soccer514514@gmail.com, phone 070-8098-5553.
Article 4 (Use of Personal Location Information) With user consent, the Company uses personal location information only for: sorting/displaying marts, restaurants, hospitals and pharmacies, banks and post offices, life services, attractions, lodging, camping sites, amusement parks, and shopping (Daiso and Olive Young) by distance. It is not used for any other purpose.
Article 5 (Consent to Third-Party Provision of Personal Location Information) ① The Company does not provide a user's personal location information to third parties without the user's consent. ② Where the Company provides a service using personal location information, it will notify the user in advance of the recipient, purpose, and content of the location information to be provided, and obtain consent. ③ The Company will immediately stop providing location information upon a user's request. ④ The Company currently does not provide personal location information to third parties for advertising or statistical purposes. If this changes in the future, these Terms will be amended and users notified in advance. However, as described in Article 2, when you tap the "My location" button on the map, NAVER can learn your approximate location through the map image requests (the Company does not send coordinates to NAVER).
Article 6 (Retention of Records of Location Information Collection/Use/Provision) The Company retains records confirming the collection, use, and provision of location information for 6 months.
Article 7 (Retention of Access Logs and Prevention of Tampering) The Company retains access logs to the personal location information processing system for at least 6 months and manages them to prevent tampering, theft, or loss.
Article 8 (Correction and Destruction of Location Information) Users may withdraw their consent to use location information at any time via Withdraw consent in the My Info > Location data consent menu. Upon withdrawal, location lookups stop immediately, any location information temporarily stored on the device (the session-storage coordinates described in Article 2) is deleted immediately, and distance-based sorting and other location-based features revert to the default sort order. For non-members (users who are not signed in), withdrawal applies only to the device being used. To use location information again, simply select sorting by distance again and allow location access. Upon withdrawal, the Company destroys the location information without delay, except where retention is required by law; since personal location information is never transmitted to or stored on the Company's servers in the first place (Article 2), no separately stored server-side information needs to be destroyed. Users may also block location access in their device's (browser's) own location permission settings.
Article 9 (Guardian Consent for Children Aged 8 or Under) Since this Service restricts registration to users aged 14 or older, there are no users falling under "children aged 8 or under" as defined in Article 26 of the Act on Location Information. This Article therefore does not currently apply.
Article 10 (Damages) If a user suffers damage due to the Company's violation of the Act on Location Information, the user may claim damages from the Company. In such a case, the Company cannot be exempted from liability unless it proves the absence of intent or negligence (Article 27 of the Act on Location Information).
Article 11 (Dispute Mediation and Resolution) In the event of a location-information-related dispute, users may apply for adjudication with the Korea Media and Communications Commission (formerly the Korea Communications Commission) under Article 28 of the Act on Location Information, or apply for mediation with the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee under Article 43 of the Personal Information Protection Act.
